North Outdoor hails from Oulu, where the surging waves of the Bothnian Bay and the northern mountain winds put on a colorful show through all four seasons. These unpredictable weather conditions have inspired us to design and create products that are versatile for use every day of the year. The primary raw material for North Outdoor is mulesing-free merino wool, a material that naturally offers the same properties that sportswear manufacturers have been striving to achieve for years.

In 2021, we made a unique investment in the brand by building our own state-of-the-art knitting facility in Oulu to support our garment production. Having our own knitting facility is a dream come true for us. We are proud to manufacture world-class merino wool garments from start to finish in Finland.
